Ronen Bar, the head of Israel’s internal security service Shin Bet, stated that they plan to eliminate Hamas members abroad, including in Lebanon, Turkey, and Qatar, even if it takes years.
In a recording released by the Israeli public broadcaster Kan, Bar is heard saying they will pursue Hamas members in these countries. He mentioned the Cabinet setting a goal to “eliminate Hamas in street slang.” The reference to “This is our Munich” is believed to allude to the 1972 Munich Olympics where 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team were killed by the Palestinian group Black September.
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen recently stated that the Hamas-ISIS terrorist organization would not exist in Gaza the next day, aiming to liberate Gaza from Hamas for Israel’s security and the better future of the region’s residents. Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen stated, “We will liberate Gaza from Hamas to ensure Israel’s security and create a better future for the residents in the region. You can host Hamas terrorists who are not eliminated and have fled from Gaza in your country.”
According to Kan’s report, Hamas expressed that with this statement, senior Israeli officials openly violated the sovereignty of mentioned “brother countries” and posed a threat to their security.
