Erdoğan: We Will Maintain Our Resolve Until the End of Terrorism

Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the recent developments in Türkiye’s anti-terror operations and the ongoing process involving İmralı during a live broadcast to a commando graduation ceremony in Isparta. Emphasizing the government’s determination, Erdoğan stated: “We will maintain the same resolve until we achieve results.”

He added that Türkiye is nearing the eradication of terrorism at its source through cross-border operations in northern Syria and Iraq. According to Erdoğan, a complete victory over terrorism would allow the nation to “turn a new page” and finalize another cornerstone of the “Century of Türkiye” vision.

“We Don’t Want More Regional Crises”

Erdoğan praised the newly graduated 2,094 specialist commandos and thanked the commanders who trained them. Stressing Türkiye’s mission to foster stability, Erdoğan said: “We sincerely want peace in our region and reject the emergence of new conflicts.”

He reiterated Türkiye’s desire for justice in global conflicts, calling for an end to the war in Gaza, peace in Syria, and a fair resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war.

“A Terror-Free Türkiye Is Within Reach”

The president highlighted the success of domestic and international counterterrorism efforts and reassured the public that these operations will continue until terrorism is fully eradicated. “Once we overcome this challenge, we will have laid another cornerstone of the Century of Türkiye,” he said.

Water: The Strategic Resource of the Century

In a separate live broadcast for the groundbreaking of the Silvan Tunnel Project, Erdoğan warned of future global conflicts over water, saying: “Water is becoming the most strategic resource of the 21st century. Protecting and managing it is not a choice—it’s a national security issue.”

He noted that his administration has built three times more dams than all previous governments combined and stored 50 billion cubic meters of water.

Targeting the Opposition

Erdoğan also criticized the main opposition CHP, contrasting their focus on “fake agendas” with the government’s commitment to major infrastructure projects like the Silvan Tunnel. “On one side, there is a government devoted to national service. On the other, a decaying opposition lost in corruption and deceit,” he said.
