Turkey’s foreign trade deficit surpassed 73 billion dollars in 7 months!

In July, Turkey’s foreign trade deficit increased by 15.7% to reach 12.4 billion dollars. As a result, the foreign trade deficit for the 7-month period surpassed 73 billion dollars.

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat shared the foreign trade figures for July with the public during a press conference.

According to the data announced by Bolat, Turkey’s exports increased by 8.4% in July, reaching 20 billion 93 million dollars, while imports amounted to 32 billion 475 million dollars. Thus, the foreign trade deficit for July was calculated as 12.4 billion dollars.

Based on the data, the foreign trade deficit for the 7-month period surpassed 73 billion dollars.
