According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s economic confidence index declined by 4.2% in April 2025, falling from 100.8 in March to 96.6.
The index, which gauges overall economic sentiment, slipped below the critical 100-point threshold, indicating a shift from optimism to cautious sentiment among consumers and businesses.
Sector Confidence Indicators Show Broad Decline
The TÜİK report highlighted that multiple sectors recorded lower confidence levels compared to the previous month:

The consumer confidence index dropped by 2.3%, reaching 83.9 in April.
-
The real sector confidence index (covering the manufacturing industry) also declined by 2.3% to 100.8.
