Iran Deploys Hypersonic ‘Fattah’ Missiles in Strike on Israel

Iran Fattah Missiles

In a significant escalation, Iran has confirmed the use of its hypersonic “Fattah” missiles in a recent missile strike targeting Israel. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared that the operation marked a strategic breakthrough, claiming full control over the airspace above what Tehran refers to as “occupied territories.”

According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the missile barrage was part of “Operation True Promise 3”, with the 11th wave of attacks reportedly completed successfully.

Iran Claims Air Dominance Over Israeli Territories

Iranian officials described the missile strike as proof of air superiority over Israeli skies, stating:
“Tonight’s missile operation demonstrated full control over the airspace of occupied territories and exposed the Zionist regime’s vulnerability to Iranian missiles.”

This marks the first publicly confirmed use of the Fattah hypersonic missile in combat.

What Is the ‘Fattah’ Missile?

Introduced into Iran’s arsenal in 2023, the Fattah is a hypersonic ballistic missile capable of exceeding the speed of sound and executing high-precision maneuvers, allowing it to bypass conventional air defense systems. Its use signals a new and more dangerous phase in Iran-Israel tensions, with potential implications for regional stability and military readiness on both sides.

As tensions rise, calls have emerged for civilians in Tel Aviv and Haifa to evacuate, further highlighting the seriousness of the confrontation.
