Poll: Four possible opposition candidates lead Erdoğan, economic crisis most urgent problem

The Yöneylem Social Research Center has released the results of its monthly opinion poll for June.

The survey was conducted among 3,040 people in 230 locations in 27 provinces between July 26-30.

Election polls

Turkey’s next presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 2023.

If no presidential candidate gets “50 percent plus one” votes, the second round of election is held.

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) form the People’s Alliance and the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) and the İYİ (Good) Party form the Nation’s Alliance.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a decree to pull Turkey out of the İstabul Convention, a Council of Europe treaty on combating violence against women, on March 20. Turkey officially withdrew from the convention on July 1.
