JPMorgan Predicts USD/TRY to Hit 45.50 by End-2025,

JPMorgan has released its latest economic forecast for Turkey, projecting that the USD/TRY exchange rate will reach 45.50 liras by the end of 2025. The report also anticipates that inflation will gradually decline to 26% if current economic policies remain in place.

These projections follow the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s (CBRT) decision to reduce its policy interest rate by 250 basis points to 45% on January 23, a change that has greatly impacted market expectations regarding inflation and exchange rates.

While JPMorgan sees a long-term decline in inflation, it also warns of a 29% increase in the exchange rate by year-end, highlighting uncertainties in market dynamics. The report further notes investment opportunities in Borsa Istanbul, urging investors to monitor the impact of Turkey’s monetary policy shifts on stock market performance.
