Istanbul inflation, which is considered the leading indicator for the TURKSTAT Turkey-wide inflation data to be announced this Friday, continues with its upwards trend.
In May, the Istanbul Wage Earners’ Living Index, which is an indicator of retail price movements, increased by 5.84 percent compared to the previous month, and the Wholesale Price Index, which reflects wholesale price movements, increased by 5.76 percent.
Annual inflation 87.4 percent
On a 12-month scale, the Living Index of Wage Earners increased by 87.35 percent and the Wholesale Price Index increased by 79.12 percent.
