Erdogan’s Foreign Pals Are Bankrolling His Election Campaign, Will He Win?

Atilla YeşiladaPosted on27 January, 2023

Real Turkey Channel presenter Atilla Yesilada explains the monetary and in-kind donations made by Putin, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to Erdogan’s election campaign. These have so far averted the currency crisis Real Turkey had long anticipated for the winter, though FX stability is still under threat.

It is easy to understand why Putin is bankrolling his pal Erdogan, who is his mole in NATO.  Why are the others helping Erdogan, knowing his loss would render their loans unpayable and will create much ill-will in the new government towards them?

Will these large donations help Erdogan win the 14 May presidential and parliamentary elections?
