The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) increased by approximately $4.3 billion in the one-week period ending January 24, reaching a historical high.
According to calculations made by BV Portfolio Economist Ali Orhan Yalçınkaya for CNBC-e, the Central Bank’s gross reserves increased by $4.3 billion compared to the previous week and reached $167.6 billion in the week of January 24.
Net international reserves are also expected to increase by $2.4 billion to reach a historic high of $73.8 billion.
In the week of January 17, the Center’s gross reserves were 163.3 billion dollars and net international reserves were 71.5 billion dollars, while gross reserves last reached a record high of 163.5 billion dollars in the week of December 13, 2024.
CBRT will announce the reserve data at 14.30 on Thursday.
