Türkiye’s Population Reaches 85.82 Million in Mid-2025

Türkiye’s population grew by 159,910 in the first half of 2025, reaching 85,824,854 as of July 1, 2025, according to newly released quarterly population statistics from TurkStat (TÜİK).

The data shows 42,923,584 men and 42,901,270 women, reflecting an almost even gender distribution. This is the first time TÜİK has published quarterly nationwide population figures, offering a more frequent snapshot of demographic trends.
