Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek Visits Northern Cyprus for High-Level Economic Talks

Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek traveled to Lefkoşa, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), on Tuesday for a series of official meetings and economic engagements, according to information obtained from the Ministry.
During his visit, Şimşek is scheduled to hold talks with TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, and Parliament Speaker Ziya Öztürkler.
Keynote Speech on Economic Outlook
As part of his visit, Şimşek will deliver a keynote address at a high-profile conference titled “Developments in the Turkish and Global Economy and Future Vision”, to be held at the Presidential Complex in Lefkoşa. His presentation is expected to provide in-depth insights into Türkiye’s economic policy, global financial trends, and strategic cooperation with the TRNC.
Bilateral Talks With Finance Minister Berova
Şimşek will also participate in delegation-level talks with TRNC Finance Minister Özdemir Berova, focusing on economic collaboration, fiscal coordination, and ongoing projects supported by Türkiye in the region.
Following his engagements, Şimşek is expected to return to Türkiye in the evening.
