Fake “E-Government Approved” Driver’s Licenses Offered Online for Up to ₺80,000

Following Türkiye’s fake diploma scandal, a new scheme has emerged—fraudsters are now advertising “e-Devlet approved” driver’s licenses online, claiming they can be obtained without passing theory or driving tests.

According to NTV, scammers create fake listings using the names and ads of legitimate driving schools, offering licenses for ₺20,000 to ₺80,000. The ads promise delivery in just 12 days, targeting individuals who struggle to pass exams or even those who are illiterate.

Fraudulent Process and False Promises
Some listings explicitly state: “For those who can’t pass exams, are illiterate, or simply want a license without conditions—send a message.” The scheme allegedly involves imposters taking the driving tests on behalf of clients.

The scammers also post photos of supposed “clients” holding their new licenses on social media to appear credible and lure more victims. Officials continue to stress that driver’s licenses cannot be obtained without passing the official tests, warning the public against such fraudulent offers.
