Speaking at the 32nd General Assembly of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the “Champions of Export” Awards Ceremony held at Haliç Congress Center, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan lauded Türkiye’s exporters as key drivers of the country’s economic resilience and future ambitions.

“TİM Has Become a Visionary Powerhouse”

Erdoğan commended TİM for evolving from a simple umbrella organization into a strategic institution shaping national policy over the past 33 years.

“TİM is now a hub of vision and policy-making. Türkiye’s story of growth and development is being written with the devotion of our exporters,” he declared.

He extended his appreciation to all exporters and firms across the value chain, saying their work evokes pride for the entire nation.

“We’re a Nation That Produces and Reaches the World”

Emphasizing Türkiye’s legacy of innovation and trade, Erdoğan stated:

“We are a nation forged by millennia of knowledge, producing on these lands and delivering to the world. Each of you has played a vital role in getting Türkiye to this point.”

He wished continued unity and perseverance among exporters as they navigate turbulent times.

“We’re Just at the Beginning – There’s More Ground to Cover”

While celebrating the sector’s achievements, Erdoğan cautioned that more challenges and opportunities lie ahead. He called on exporters to keep pushing boundaries by working harder, producing more, and expanding into new markets.

“We will bring Türkiye to its rightful place by acting together and never slowing down.”

“Global Trade Faces Structural Uncertainty”

Erdoğan highlighted that the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic are still rippling through the global economy. He noted that rising trade wars, especially those waged through tariff barriers, are fueling worldwide instability.

“The damage inflicted by the pandemic-triggered crisis on the global economy has yet to be fully healed. Trade wars waged through tariff walls deepen the climate of uncertainty,” Erdoğan remarked.
