Turkey’s tourism sector marked a significant milestone as 100,646 foreign visitors entered the country in a single day through Antalya and Gazipaşa airports, according to Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The figure represents the highest daily foreign tourist entry for any July over the past five years.
Minister Ersoy announced the record-breaking data on his official social media account, calling it yet another peak in Antalya’s already impressive tourism performance.
“On July 12, 2025, Antalya and Gazipaşa airports welcomed a total of 100,646 foreign visitors,” Ersoy said. “This is the highest daily figure recorded in any July since 2021. We’re now closing in on the all-time daily record of 102,755, set in August 2024.”
Antalya’s Global Appeal Grows
Ersoy attributed this surge to Antalya’s increasing international appeal, its robust tourism infrastructure, and effective cooperation across the tourism sector.
“Antalya’s global attractiveness is growing stronger thanks to its solid infrastructure and the determined cooperation within the industry,” he noted.
He also praised the contributions of tourism stakeholders and emphasized the importance of the “Century of Türkiye” vision, which aims to elevate the country’s global tourism standing.
Breakdown of Arrivals
According to data shared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 98,777 foreign tourists entered via Antalya Airport, while 1,869 arrived through Gazipaşa Airport. The combined figure is just shy of the all-time high, underscoring Antalya’s position as a powerhouse in Mediterranean tourism.
Officials say these numbers reflect sustained growth and signal that Antalya may break further records in the coming weeks as high season continues.
