In a new global ranking of urban safety, Eskişehir stands out as the only city from Türkiye to make it into the top 50 of the World’s Safest Cities list, compiled by CEOWORLD Magazine and the Safety Index Report. Scoring 91.77 points, Eskişehir ranked 39th worldwide, earning international recognition for its public security, crime prevention measures, and peaceful urban life.

The rankings assessed cities based on crime rates, the efficiency of public safety services, security infrastructure, and the citizen perception of safety. Among hundreds of global cities analyzed, Eskişehir was the only Turkish city to earn a spot in the top tier.
According to NTV, Eskişehir’s strong score reflects its high educational standards, low crime levels, and a proactive approach to urban safety. These attributes have cemented its reputation as one of Türkiye’s most livable cities, now validated on a global scale.
Abu Dhabi, Taipei, Doha Lead the Global Safety Rankings
At the top of the list is Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, which earned a score of 97.73. It was followed by Taipei (Taiwan) and Doha (Qatar). These cities scored highest in areas like police response effectiveness, urban surveillance systems, and organized crime control.
