Trump’s “Armada Alert”: U.S. Navy Headed to Iran with a Bigger Fleet Than Venezuela

President Donald Trump escalated tensions with a new statement on Iran. Saying that the US Navy is heading towards Iran, Trump stated, “As in the case of Venezuela, it is ready to carry out its mission with speed and force if necessary.”

Reiterating his threats against Iran, Trump recalled the U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 22, saying, “The next attack will be much heavier.”

Reiterating his message to Iran to “come to the table,” U.S. President Trump wrote the following on his Truth Social account:

“A large Armada is heading towards Iran. It is moving quickly, with great power, determination, and purpose. This fleet, larger than the one sent to Venezuela, is led by the large aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. As in the case of Venezuela, it is ready, willing, and able to carry out its mission with speed and force if necessary. I hope Iran quickly ‘comes to the table’ and negotiates a fair and balanced deal for all parties. NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS. Time is running out; this is truly critical. As I have told Iran before, MAKE A DEAL. They did not, and ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’ took place; Iran suffered massive destruction. The next strike will be much heavier. Do not let this happen again. Thank you for your interest in this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) had previously announced that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group had been deployed to the Middle East “to support regional security and stability.”
