Erdoğan: “No Bargaining, No Compromise” in New Anti-Terror Process

Turkey’s Erdogan Meets With Hungary’s Orban

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has addressed the public in a heartfelt letter aimed specifically at families of martyrs and veterans, reaffirming that no negotiation, compromise, or covert dealings will take place during the government’s ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism in Turkey.

The letter, revealed amid renewed discussions around a new peace process, strongly emphasized that the dignity of fallen soldiers and their families will never be undermined. Erdoğan declared:

“At no point has this process involved bargaining, negotiations, concessions, or hidden, immoral arrangements. It never will.”

“No Step Will Dishonor the Martyrs”

According to Sözcü, Erdoğan’s letter reiterates his commitment to a principled, non-negotiable stance on counterterrorism, aimed at building a “Terror-Free Turkey.”

“We have not and will not take any step that would dishonor the sacred memory of our martyrs or cause distress to their families and our veterans,” he wrote.

The president assured recipients that the government has consistently fought terrorism with full force, sacrificing lives, resources, and time, while maintaining respect for national values and unity.

Legacy of the Fallen, Responsibility of the State

Erdoğan opened the letter by saluting the families of those who gave their lives for the nation:

“Our land, every inch soaked with the blood of our martyrs and veterans, is a homeland of sacred sacrifice.”

He highlighted the sacrifices made under his leadership and the cost of decades of anti-terror efforts, both in human lives and economic resources.

Toward a New National Chapter

Looking forward, Erdoğan emphasized that the nation is approaching a pivotal phase in its history:

“When we reach our goal of a Terror-Free Turkey, a new chapter will begin for our nation—one of renewed unity and brotherhood, where seeds of discord will be rooted out forever.”

He concluded the letter with a prayer for the martyrs, and blessings for the veterans and the families who raised them, stating:

“I kiss the hands of the parents who raised our heroes and the eyes of the children they left behind.”

The message reflects the administration’s intent to combine national unity, counterterrorism strategy, and public reassurance, amid potential political speculation around a new peace initiative.
