Türkiye’s industrial production surged by 4.9% year-over-year in May 2025, marking the highest annual growth rate recorded so far this year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
Strong Performance Across Key Industrial Sectors
Based on the 2021=100 base index, all main sub-sectors contributed positively to the annual increase:

Mining and quarrying rose by 10.0%,

Manufacturing grew by 4.6%,

Electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply expanded by 4.7% compared to May 2024.
Monthly Growth Also Picks Up
On a month-over-month basis, industrial production increased by 3.1% in May, indicating a notable acceleration in economic activity.
The breakdown by sector shows:
